Make sure to get a PHYSICAL with as BLOOD workup at LEAST every 3yrs

They will check your Cholestrol numbers, CO2 in your blood, your blood sugar Potassim..etc

It is well worth it to know your NUMBERS when it comes to that

Dante...Had mine done on Monday for the first time in a long time...Doctor called today everything was good BUT my chlorestol level is very very high..So it is on LIPITOR for me as of know......I strongly suggest if a person has a family history of heart disaese to get it done..I have a long history of it, so thats why I went.

My Cholrestol and everything was LOW but I had elevated Work induced High Blood pressure ..so they are watching it to see if I need meds for it...usually high Choles. is followed by High BP so its good your watching that G

i just got my results back and my triglycerides are really high. (my cholesterol is really far below average)

so i looked it up on the internet and it says to stop consuming alcohol and sweets.
I havent had a drink since 1988 and i eat sweets about once a week (hardly ever refined sugar).

anyone have high triglycerides?

My brother told me he had his done too some time ago and the doc told him that he would have to watch his cholestrol...

He also said that the doctor told him that once you go on meds to get your
cholestrol down, you are on the meds for life???


Are you going to be taking meds for your cholesterol for life???

yes if they are doing a baseline profile on you no food or drink at least 8 hrs before...

mine where low...but my GOOD cholestrol was 39 and its suppose to be 40 or higher.... she said its borderline and nothing to worry about my bad cholesrol was 157 Under 200 is great

Jman one should not wait for sickness or a problem to go get a checkup.....at least every 3 yrs...


I am trying to get people not to procrastinate and not go just because they feel fine you could still have problems that do not show anywhere but in your blood... and its nice to know your numbers when it comes to that

I've had high triglycerides. My doctor told me it was due to high fatty foods such as fast foods.

Well got my results and the doctor said i'm in GREAT health. The only concern is I need to come back to doublecheck on one thing.. He said he wanted to make sure i'm not anemic but everything else is perfect.
